Review USD assets before production.

Asset Stage gives spatial app teams one Apple-native place to upload USD files and bundles, inspect RealityKit previews, capture view-aware feedback, approve versions, and share secure review links before assets move into production.

JetEngine_Model.usdz

A review room for USD work.

Designed for the point where a 3D asset is no longer just a file, but not yet safe to ship inside a RealityKit or visionOS experience.

Drop USD assets .usda, .usdc, .usdz and zipped bundles

macOS

Upload, group, and review versions from the desktop.

Artists and developers can drag in USD files, keep versions tied to the right project and asset, search the library, and open the latest review-ready preview without passing screenshots around.

RealityKit

Inspect the asset in the same rendering stack you ship with.

The desktop stage uses RealityKit with orbit and fly navigation, a grid, frame controls, and metadata such as format, size, prim count, animations, and variants when available.

visionOS

Open the same review in volumetric and immersive space.

Reviewers can browse project assets on Apple Vision Pro, place the current version in space, switch between constrained and actual size, add notes, and review together with aligned review state.

Review loop

Upload. Inspect. Comment. Approve.

Asset Stage keeps the conversation attached to the reviewed version: camera-linked notes, replies, resolution state, and approval status stay with the asset instead of scattering across screenshots and chat threads.

Version-aware review

Assets keep version records, processing state, review status, thumbnails, previews, and metadata in one project workspace.

View-aware comments

Notes can restore camera context, reference scene nodes, materials, or animation clips, and carry replies and resolution state.

Clear decisions

Review states such as pending, approved, and needs changes make it obvious whether a version can move forward.

Built for spatial review, not flat screenshots.

The Mac app gives teams a precise desktop workbench. The Vision Pro app keeps the same asset and review state available when scale, physical context, or a live review session matters.

Desktop workbench

Search projects, inspect the current version, and resolve review threads on Mac.

Volumetric review

Open the asset in a Vision Pro volume with annotations, presence, display mode, and review status.

Immersive scale

Place the model in space, move it, and switch between constrained and actual-size inspection.

Live review

Keep selected annotations and display changes aligned during collaborative review sessions.

Made for private assets and real teams.

Asset Stage is built around authenticated workspaces, protected storage, and controlled sharing so review can happen without turning production assets into loose files.

Identity

Auth0 Universal Login handles Apple, Google, passwordless, and enterprise identity options when enabled for the tenant.

Review data

Supabase Postgres, RLS, Edge Functions, and Realtime hold projects, versions, annotations, status, notifications, and presence.

Asset storage

Bunny-backed storage and a server-side upload broker keep original asset delivery behind trusted server credentials.

Upload checks

Hosted uploads validate size and SHA-256 while preserving the original object path grouped by workspace, project, asset, and version.

Share links

Create, list, and revoke review links with optional expiry, optional password protection, and download permission controls.

Notifications

Review events can write notification rows and support email fan-out when the deployment is configured for it.

Questions? Answers.

What is Asset Stage?

Asset Stage is a native Apple-platform review system for teams preparing USD assets for RealityKit, visionOS, and spatial app workflows.

It gives teams a shared place to upload assets, inspect review previews, leave context-aware comments, approve or request changes, and continue review on Apple Vision Pro.

Which USD formats does it support?

Teams can upload .usda, .usdc, and .usdz assets. USD folder bundles can also be uploaded as zipped packages when the root file depends on other files.

For review, the product centers on RealityKit-ready previews and metadata so the discussion stays attached to the right asset version.

Is this a replacement for Reality Composer Pro?

No. Asset Stage is a review and collaboration surface, not a scene authoring tool. It fits between asset creation and production integration, where teams need feedback, sign-off, and secure sharing.

How precise are comments?

Comments can capture camera and viewport context and can link to scene references such as nodes, materials, or animation clips. Mac review also supports replies, resolve, and reopen actions.

That keeps feedback closer to the inspected asset than a screenshot or a generic chat thread.

Does Asset Stage work on Apple Vision Pro?

Yes. The visionOS app supports project and asset browsing, volumetric review, immersive placement, constrained and actual-size inspection, annotations, review status changes, presence, and aligned review state for collaborative sessions.

How are assets shared outside the app?

Teams can create secure share links, list active links, revoke them, add optional passwords, set optional expirations, and control whether the original asset can be downloaded.
